The Impact Investor Group is a group of experienced investors in the impact investing sector working together to find solutions to challenges, create and explore new opportunities, and share their extensive knowledge. The founding group of the IIG meets quarterly with a cohort of varied investors from different backgrounds ranging across the investment lifecycle from angel investment to institutional.
Why does the IIG exist?
BwB has built a reputation from working with governments, institutions, cities and foundations to provide advisory, corporate finance and research services applying financial concepts and structuring expertise to align them with the investment needs of capital markets. This group is the next step in making BwB’s work more practical and meaningful, to take our projects beyond their inception and design. BwB's mission is to help make a difference in the impact investing universe and the wider financial system.
Who are the co-founders of IIG?
Christina Caljé is a Goldman Sachs Executive Director turned (exited) startup founder and investor. A seasoned entrepreneur in the finance and technology sectors, Christina has launched and scaled businesses across New York, London and Amsterdam.
Jason Mitchell, Man Group, is Head of Responsible Investment Research at Man Group and co-chairs Man Group’s Stewardship and Active Ownership Committee. He has held this position since July 2018.
Axel Elmvqist, Verdane, is responsible for building a centre of excellence around sustainable growth and strengthening Verdane’s existing sustainability proposition as a core value creator across Verdane: in the investment process, the ecosystem of companies, and internally.
Vuk Srdanovic, Triodos Investment Management is Investor Relations Manager in the Nordics for Triodos Investment Management the globally active impact investor and subsidiary of Triodos Bank, prior to this Vuk has worked at several high-profile international asset management firms.
Stephen Smith, Bankers Without Boundaries and IIG Chair, worked at Morgan Stanley for 28 years in European and then Global equity sales and in that time worked closely with capital markets function, including overseeing 150 IPOs. He is now IIG Chair and Global Head Carbon & Forestry at BwB.
