ABN Amro Cultural Day 2022

Amsterdam, Netherlands

WOMEN INC. and ABN AMRO Bank N.V. published a report exploring gender (in)equality in the visual arts, namely the mechanisms contributing to pay imbalances / underrepresentation in the ecosystem and (most importantly) suggestions on how to address these issues.

On the heels of this report launch, ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and Marc Noyons & Partners hosted a special edition of Cultural Business Day on 29 November to engage successful leaders in business and entrepreneurship in a conversation on this evolving topic in the Arts sector. Christina was invited to share her thoughts on the findings during a keynote conversation with Vréneli (Verena) Stadelmaier. Christina discussed the similar dynamics of capitalization and representation in the startup and tech sectors, as well as solutions she sees yielding results in reducing those gaps.

The keynote conversation was followed by a moderated panel discussion around the findings of the research report, with Christina joined by Annabelle Birnie, Karin Boelhouwer, Emma Lok, Guy-Georges Trigallez and Hanna Verboom.

To close the event, attendees enjoyed casual networking over lunch, in The Hermitage.
